Last summer, I caught myself building death traps for fruit flies.
You know the scene…
You buy a perfect pineapple from the store.
(or you grow them yourself because you live in Hawaii, you lucky duck)
The pineapple sits on your counter next to your homegrown tomatoes.
You’re planning the perfect fruit salad (or whatever).
Then BAM.
Fruit Fly Apocalypse in your kitchen.
These tiny demons swarm every time you reach for food.
They dive-bomb your morning coffee.
They turn your beautiful harvest into a buzzing nightmare.
So, I was at war with these little monsters.
Vinegar traps everywhere.
Scrubbing fruit like a maniac.
I would do anything to destroy them.
Then I learned something that changed everything.
No fruit flies = no chocolate.
Wait, what?
Turns out these ugly little creatures are the only pollinators of cacao flowers.
The flowers are too tiny for regular bees.
But fruit flies? They fit perfectly.
Yes, that means without fruit flies, we’d have zero chocolate bars.
No brownies.
No hot cocoa on cold mornings.
Suddenly, I loved these little buggers.
That moment reminded me something I already knew about Nature:
Everything has a purpose.
Even the annoying stuff we want to eliminate.
The weeds in your garden?
They’re breaking up compacted soil.
Nasty looking millipede?
It’s breaking up leaves and bark in the soil.
Nature does not make mistakes.
Every creature has a job to do.
In fact, even your “bad” soil has a purpose.
It’s trying to tell you something important.
Most gardeners think they need to replace their soil entirely.
So they haul in truckloads of expensive compost…
Or they spend a fortune on bagged soil…
But what if your soil doesn’t need any of that?
What if it just needs some help?
Well, that’s exactly what I teach in my Soil Builders Masterclass.
You’ll discover how to work WITH your soil instead of against it.
Just like Nature intended.
