Every time I drive through suburbia…
I become the worst person alive.
I slow down my truck and peer out the window like some creepy stalker.
But I’m not people watching…
I’m judging their yards.
“What a terrible waste,” I mutter under my breath.
Sarah rides shotgun and she rolls her eyes
(she’s heard my rant a thousand times).
I see perfectly good soil covered in useless grass.
I see empty fields that could feed entire neighborhoods.
I see sad little flower beds with wilted daisies gasping for life.
Or (the worst) – FAKE plastic flowers in little wood planters!
And as I drive by, I think to myself:
“If only I could steward all this land, how abundant it would be.”
I’d transform those prairie dog infested plots into breathtaking food
forests.
Rich with fruit trees, berry bushes, and vegetable gardens.
Water features bubbling with life for all to enjoy and eat from.
So yeah, I’m probably the most judgmental gardener on Earth.
Sorry about that.
The sad reality is, I have MORE than enough work with my own land with all its projects.
I’d need thousands more hands to steward everything I see while driving around.
But the funny thing is…
I actually DO have those thousands of hands…
You!
Every time my students like you transform their backyard wasteland into productive soil, my heart does a little happy dance.
Every time someone sends me photos of their thriving garden, I feel like we’re making progress together.
See, the real tragedy isn’t wasted land.
It’s gardeners who think their soil is hopeless.
They look at their dusty, lifeless dirt and assume they’re doomed to failure.
But that’s just not true.
Any soil can become black gold.
Yes. ANY soil.
Even if you think your soil is:
-too hard
-too sandy
-too rocky
-or too __fill in the blank__.
Either way, the same strategies Nature has used for millions of years still work today, on any soil.
Without chemicals, and without spending hundreds of greenbacks on compost.
You just need to know a few simple steps.
And that’s exactly what I teach in my Soil Builders Masterclass.
I open registration in a few weeks – right on time for fall soil building.
Until then, you can join the Early Bird Notification List here and be the first to know when I open the doors on this powerful training
Can’t wait to see you turn dead dirt into abundant black gold.
Keep growing,
James~
