The *other* V1RUS… & the “Flame Keepers” to cure it…

Let me tell you a story…

…about the important role you play in the Food Revolution.

A few years ago, I traveled to India and stayed for 62 days…

After squeezing by an angry bull on a narrow bridge…

Facing down a monkey who stole my bananas…

And finding a giant black scorpion in my sock drawer…

…I figured it was time to go home 😅

I returned from India with one item:

A tiny ziplock bag of grey powder…

(and no, it was not some illegal substance! 😂)

This tiny little bag contained…

Ashes.

Not just any ashes either…

These ashes were very special.

These ashes were sacred.

They were from a fire that’s been burning continuously for over 500 years.

The fire sits in the middle of a dark room made of stones…

A man wearing nothing but a cloth around his waist tends this Sacred Fire.

And he sits there for 12 hours. Every. Single. Day.

His job is to feed this fire…

To give it wood, air, and…

To never, EVER let it die! (or else)

Temple guards bring him rice, bread, and water at mealtimes.

After 12 hours, another man sits down for the next 12-hour shift.

The process repeats every day… and has for the last 500 years.

Legend has it, there are other fires, higher up on the mountain… they say those have burned for nearly 2,000 years.

Now you might wonder…

Why am I telling you this?

And…

WHAT on Earth does this have to do with growing food?

Well, everything,

Not long ago…

We were all Flame Keepers.

We lived in harmony with Earth.

We learned to revere and respect Her power and wisdom.

And then… Over the last 120~ years… something shifted.

We became impatient… “needing” more and MORE – faster and FASTER.

We disconnected from Earth…

And morphed into a strange cyborg creature…

…a creature hell-bent on consuming everything. Stopping at nothing.

Today, in the famous words of Agent Smith:

And so, the truth is revealed.

This infec-shun…

This “v-y-r-u-s” everyone is so afraid of…

…is actually…

Us.

You might wonder…

WHO holds the cure?

(no, certainly not the W.H.O.)

It is The Flame Keeper.

The Flame Keepers are those of us practicing, guarding, and protecting the Ancient Wisdom.

We keep and stoke the flames of the “old ways”.

The ways of the seeds.

The ways of the soil.

The ways of the plants, trees, and bees.

The ways of listening to Nature… and using HER guidance to let abundance happen.

Because let’s face it…

The Food Revolution will not be televised.

The modern addiction to destruction will not simply come to a halt tomorrow…

As much as people say they want “change”.

I believe we will first reach a point where we cannot continue to live in disharmony with the Earth…

But we’re NOT there yet, … Not even close.

However….

One day, humans will NEED the old ways.

They will need the seeds again.

They will need the worms again.

They will need to know which plants sprout soonest in spring.

They’ll need to know what the heck tiny green monsters are! 😉

THAT is where YOU come in, .

Humanity will desperately need YOU… the Flame Keeper.

The one who has been gently feeding the flames of these vital, ancient practices.

The one who knows the BASICS of life on Earth:

Seeds. Soil. Sun.

With desperation and panic…

They will flock to Flame Keepers like YOU (and your descendants) for the warmth of your precious, life-giving wisdom.

Not your wisdom, of course.

Our shared wisdom of how we work and live with Earth.

For I predict… they will not survive otherwise.

Yes.

“Old Ways” will be the #1 most valuable currency of the future.

It will not be technology, or computers, or how to get to Mars.

(we won’t have resources for Mr. Musk’s frivolous fantasy)

The currency will switch BACK to:

-SOIL
-SEEDS
-MICROBES
-FUNGI
-COMPOST
-WORMS
-ANIMALS

And most of all…

The WISDOM of how to synthesize it all into the magical orchestra of LIFE.

So…

Will you join me?

Will you light your Flame Keeper torch?

Will you dedicate (some of) your precious time and life energy to keeping the Old Ways alive?

For this is my mission.

It is my life’s Purpose.

It is why I’m on this giant blue rock cruising through space.

On the surface, it might look like “just an online business” with:

→ silly green monster puppets…

→ annoyingly long videos…

→ and rather long emails 😉 …

But this is merely the tool to find the Flame Keepers.

Question is:

Are you one of them?

If so, tell me now.

Comment below and let me know:

“YES, James, I will keep the flame!”

If so… Rest up, …

Because your training begins soon.

James~

  1. Yes, I will keep the flame. My problem is that it will be my very first time growing. I have wanted to start for about a year now, but I have been to scared of failing.

    1. Count me in. I am new to the desert and am trying to learn gardening here. (Tucson). I have lived in the rainforest of Puerto Rico, and in the Midwest and northern California. Gardening was great in all those places—a real challenge here.

  2. I have been interested in this for some time. We bought a property with over an acre and are growing fruits and vegetables for the last few years. We are older and retired and want to do right by the planet. I build my soil and add to my collection of plants each year. I also help others get started with their gardens. I am learning to can and preserve the harvest with the goal of eating from the garden year round even in Indiana.

    1. Love it, Barbara! Yes, eating from your land year-round is 100% possible, just takes time and planning. I’m so happy to hear your putting your energy and time into this important work.

  3. yes james I will keep the flame! I feel I am supposed to be a shaman artist and teacher been trying to reconnect with nature through aquaponics wild food foraging. meditation. I’ve been reading a whole lot about mushroom cultivation. I’ve known and felt this to be my life’s purpose without a shadow of a doubt for at least 5 years ago when a long meditation brought me to a moment when the universe spoke to me and I realised that all the luck and good things I brought into my life came from the grattitude i expressed to others and to nature. I then learned of the ancient cities hidden in the amazon. And so living in a way that makes abundance an ever growing permanent agricultural installation like, well, possibly, the amazon rainforest seems like the greatest gift to leave behind for future earthlings as a way of saying thank you and creating more than I consume. So permaculture and earthships are already my life’s purpose. That and creating art and music to inspire people to connect with nature. and more importantly, teaching it through courses or art, and making it accessible and simple. So yeah, we are definitely on the same page. I’ve been talking about flipping homes into ecological homesteads with food production bio recycling and free energy. And I’ve been talking to my friends a lot about using parks in cities to make huge gardens for the locals and show that abundance is our natural state and birthright. I even go on about bringing this stuff into schools and how it would change everything. So yes I am a flamekeeper. I was before i learned all of this stuff. But you really helped connect the dots in many aspects so thank you. My point is: you already reached your million . You just don’t know it yet. I know this because i see it happening around me. People are done. the veil has lifted ( apocalypse). A mayor in a city nearby is starting a community garden with aquaponics. this is a sign for me that we are definitely not alone in this quest to make the earth green again.. Hit me up via email if you would like to have a video call!! Check out my instagram i am a tattoo artist @phil_gravel

    1. Hey Philippe, reading your story here made me smile a lot 🙂 thank you so much for sharing! YES to so many things you’ve said here. Keep in touch, keep the Flames, and we’ll connect sometime soon.

  4. I also believe this and have for quite a few years! I raised my five sons to believe this also. We all garden to eat and learn. I truly appreciate that there are others seeing this❣I think we must all share what we learn and try to inspire as we travel on our life path. I wish you many blessings in you lifes journey. Please keep on inspiring others 🥰

  5. Thanks for your system. Ask set up with first seedlings nursing after 5 days. Transplanted some more mature basil. I’ll take photos and keep you posted and the flame burning . Eric. From Australia. 😃

  6. Good for you James. This is excellent teaching story. Yes I am flamekeeper. Yes it is preservation of the way it was and will be again, in harmony with nature earth.

I do honor what you are doing.

    1. Thank you so much, Donna. Let’s stick together, keep the flames alive, and pass them on. With gratitude.

  7. I love this absolute truth, and have been trying my hardest to impress upon the future generations that if we do not become self sustaining, in harmony with earth, we as humans will be doomed.
I grew produce over the summer and will still make an attempt to grow a few greens over the winter, as well. Thank you for this lovely, meaningful posts. We need more posts like this to circulate!! Sincerely, Linda E.

  8. Yes James I have joined the flame keepers unknowingly but believe this is a vital way of life. This in my second year of composing and growing! Many set backs and many successes, cannot wait to train!

  9. I am a flame. Growing my own produce for 17 years now. I can the extra to eat over the winter months. Not set up for winter gardening yet but plan to by next winter.

  12. I am in the process of looking for land. Container gardening was not enough. I want to keep the flame alive!

  13. I have a small yard and garden. I would like to learn the ways of the flamekeeper to make my space more abundant and pass this knowledge on to my children.

  14. yes to keeping the Flame…
I am in Taos NM and want many of the young people who have no water or heat in the surrounding areas to discover the greenhouse and growing their own food and also to the veterans here to have the greenhouse you speak of. This is would like to help with and to first have my own greenhouse this spring so all to see. your ideas are brilliant …

  15. “YES, James, I will keep the flame!”

Waiting for my next pension payment, this Saturday and ill subscribe to your garden revolution. I’m an old Aussie living on the small island of Higatangan in the Philippines, setting up sustainable systems for my young family and extended group. Things are tough here for these people. The unjabbed can no longer go to the mainland for supplies, so we need to get back to the basics as they used to here and reinvent self sufficiency. thank you Bro.

  16. Hi James
Yes, Another Flame Keeper for my family, my kids, my community and those seeking a more harmonious way of existing. Already started Vermicomposting and am building an indoor and outdoor revolution garden so that I can grow year round. Still assembling all the parts, but will be there soon.
